Dagger Corded Bracelet
After visiting Bhutan you will realize the importance of ceremony in the Buddhist beliefs. Throughout their culture are the images of ceremonial decorative daggers.
The dagger or kīla is a three-sided knife, associated with Info-Tibetian Buddhism. The kīla are used in rituals to signify stability during ceremonies. The energy of the kīla is fierce, wrathful, piercing, affixing, transfixing. It binds and pin down negative energies and obscurations. In my collection, this dagger is simplified into simple form.
Corded bracelets are practiced in many religions such as Hinduism, Kabbalah, Buddhism and Christianity and is popular throughout many of the Asian Cultures. Depending on the cord, they represent faith, fate and love.
The Dagger is re-invisioned in a modern interpretation of the corded bracelet
